Help

How can we help?

Guides and answers to help you plan, organise and deliver your campaigns.

First steps

Up and running in four steps.

  1. 1

    Create your account

Sign up with your email address or Google. Email sign-ups need to be confirmed using the link we send before you can sign in.

  2. 2

    Take the product tour

A short tour starts the first time you sign in. Replay it any time from Settings → Help & Feedback → Replay the product tour.

  3. 3

    Create your first campaign

Choose New campaign. Describe it and let AI suggest a plan to review, or create it manually. Uploading a brief on its own doesn't run any analysis — you choose when to analyse it.

  4. 4

    Invite your team (optional)

During an active trial or on the Team plan, owners and admins can invite colleagues from Settings → Team & Permissions.

Getting started & account

How do I create an account?
Choose Create an account and sign up with your email address or Google. With email, open the confirmation link we send you, then sign in.
How do I replay the product tour?
Go to Settings → Help & Feedback and choose Replay the product tour. Your onboarding progress belongs to you, so it isn't reset when you join or switch to another workspace.
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in page choose Forgot password and enter your email. We'll send a reset link; open it and choose a new password.
My invitation link has expired or no longer works.
Invitation links can be used once and expire after a while, and owners or admins can revoke them. Ask the person who invited you to resend the invitation from Team & Permissions.

Campaigns, tasks & budgets

What are campaigns, workstreams and tasks?
A campaign is one initiative, such as a product launch. Inside it, workstreams group related work (for example Email or Events), and tasks are the individual pieces of work with owners, dates and statuses. Milestones are tasks or activities marked as key moments.
Should I create a campaign manually or with AI?
Both end in the same campaign. Manually, you add workstreams and tasks yourself. With AI, you describe the campaign or analyse uploaded materials, review the suggested plan, edit it and save. Nothing is added until you save.
What counts as an active campaign?
Every campaign in your workspace that isn't archived counts towards your plan's active campaign limit. Sample campaigns don't count.
Where is my archived campaign?
Archived campaigns stay in your workspace and can still be opened and read, but nothing in them can be changed. Archiving frees an active campaign slot. Owners and admins can restore a campaign when there's room under your plan's limit.
Why is a task in Needs attention?
Needs attention lists overdue tasks and milestones, workstreams marked at risk, tasks waiting on someone, budget warnings, and tasks due soon with no owner. Resolve the item and it drops off the list.
How is progress calculated?
Progress is the share of completed tasks. Cancelled tasks are left out completely, so cancelling a task doesn't count as finishing it, and a campaign with only cancelled tasks shows no active tasks rather than 100%.
How do budgets work?
Each budget line has budgeted, committed and actual amounts and its own currency. Amounts are shown as entered and are never converted between currencies, so totals are grouped by currency.
Does Camppit publish posts or send emails for me?
No. Camppit plans and coordinates campaign activities. You publish posts and send campaign emails using the tools you already have.

AI & credits

What can AI do in Camppit?
AI can ask clarifying questions and suggest a campaign plan, analyse uploaded briefs and documents, suggest tasks or check a workstream for gaps, and transcribe dictated notes. Suggestions are always shown for review; nothing is saved until you choose to.
Who can use AI?
Three things must all be true: the workspace is on an eligible trial, Solo or Team; you have editing access (an owner, admin or member with an editing seat); and the workspace has credits available. A role alone doesn't guarantee AI access. Viewers can't run AI, and Free workspaces don't include AI credits.
Why is AI unavailable?
Usually because the workspace is on Free or its trial has ended, the credits for this period are used up, you're read-only (see why can't I edit?), or AI is temporarily unavailable. Check Settings → Plan and usage for your plan and credit balance.
Does uploading a file use AI?
No. Uploading only stores the file. AI runs — and uses credits — only when you choose to analyse files. Opening a saved analysis again doesn't make another AI request.
How do AI credits work and where can I see them?
Each AI action costs credits; the cost is shown before you start it. Your balance, usage and what's in progress are in Settings → Plan and usage. Trial workspaces get 20 credits for the whole trial. Paid plans get a monthly allowance that renews every month, including on annual billing; unused credits don't roll over.
What happens if an AI request fails or I'm not sure it finished?
If a request clearly fails, the credits reserved for it are returned. Finished results are saved, so you can reopen them without paying again. If Camppit can't confirm the outcome yet, wait and check again rather than starting a new request — repeating it may use more credits.

Files & assets

Which files can I upload?
To analyse with AI: PDF, Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx), Excel (.xlsx), CSV, Markdown and plain text, up to 15 MB each. The library also accepts PNG and JPEG images, up to 25 MB each.
How do I upload, preview and download files?
Add files to a campaign or workstream, or to the Assets library. Select a file to preview it where possible, or download it.
Can I use the same file in several campaigns?
Yes. Add a file from the library to any campaign or workstream. It's stored once and linked wherever you use it.
Why can't I change files in an archived campaign?
Archived campaigns are read-only, including their files. Restore the campaign first to add, remove or delete its files.
Why can't I upload a file?
Check the file type and size above, and your workspace's storage in Settings → Plan and usage — uploads stop when storage is full. If a file "didn't pass our upload checks", it was set aside: it can't be opened or used, it will be removed by a later storage cleanup, and until then it still counts towards your storage. If an upload took too long, try again.

Teams & workspaces

What do the four roles mean?
Owners and admins manage the workspace and team. Members plan and work on campaigns. Viewers can see everything but change nothing. Only owners and admins can delete campaigns.
What's the difference between a role and an editing seat?
A role says what someone is allowed to do. An editing seat is what lets them actually make changes. Your plan sets how many editing seats you have; the owner always has one, and viewers never use one.
Why can't I edit?
You might be a viewer, the workspace may have more editors than its plan allows (for example after a trial ends or a downgrade), or the campaign may be archived. Ask an owner or admin to check your role and seat in Team & Permissions.
Who can invite people?
Owners and admins can invite during an active trial or on Team. Free and Solo can't invite new members, including viewers. Each pending invitation for an editor reserves a seat; if seats are full, people can still join read-only.
Does joining a trial workspace use my own trial?
If you accept an editing seat in a workspace that's on a trial, we ask you to confirm first, because it uses your one-time trial eligibility. Joining as a viewer or read-only doesn't.
What happens to editors after a downgrade?
If there are more editors than the new plan allows, only the owner keeps editing until the owner chooses who keeps the available seats in Team & Permissions. Everyone else stays a member with read-only access.
Can I belong to more than one workspace?
Yes. You can join as many workspaces as you're invited to and switch between them; each browser tab can show a different workspace. You can own one workspace of your own.

Calendar

Where do I see the schedule?
The Calendar page shows tasks with due dates and scheduled marketing activities across your campaigns, with milestones marked. Activities without a date aren't shown until they're scheduled. Each campaign also has its own calendar.
Can I see my schedule in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar?
Yes. Copy your private subscription link from the calendar (or Settings → Preferences) and add it to your calendar app. Your calendar app decides how often it refreshes, so changes may take a while to appear. Keep the link private — anyone with it can see the schedule.

Plans & billing

How does the 14-day trial work?
Eligible new account owners get a 14-day trial with 3 active campaigns, 250 MB of storage, 5 editors and 20 AI credits in total. No card is needed and nothing is charged automatically. Not every sign-up or existing Free workspace is eligible.
What happens after my trial?
The workspace continues on Free. Campaigns, tasks, files, analyses and members all stay. The owner can keep editing, others become read-only, and new AI use stops. You can choose Solo or Team whenever you're ready.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Free is permanent and includes one editor with no AI credits. Compare plans. Your current allowances are always shown in Settings → Plan and usage.
How do I upgrade or manage my subscription?
Only workspace owners can buy or change plans. Go to Settings → Plan and usage. Extra editing seats are available on Team only. Monthly subscriptions can switch to annual billing; switching from annual back to monthly isn't currently supported. Before you confirm, our payment provider Paddle shows the exact charge or credit; changes apply once payment is confirmed. Reductions may give a credit against future bills rather than a refund to your card.
Where are my invoices?
Owners can choose Payments and invoices in Settings → Plan and usage. It opens Paddle's secure portal, where you can update payment details, download invoices or cancel.
How do renewal and cancellation work?
Subscriptions renew automatically; Settings shows the next billing date. If you cancel, paid access continues until the end of the period you've paid for, then the workspace moves to Free with your content kept.
What if a renewal payment fails?
Paddle retries the payment and may contact you. There's no grace period: paid access ends at the paid-through date unless a payment is confirmed, and the workspace then uses Free. Once a payment is confirmed, paid access returns; if there were more editors than seats, the owner's seat choices still apply.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds follow our refund policy.
